  • CONCLUSIONS FROM THE INDIAN CERAMICS 2015 FAIR
Miquel Moix giving his presentation at the CFI workshop

From 21 to 23 January the INDIAN CERAMICS 2015 fair was held in Ahmedabad with BERALMAR taking part as has been customary in recent years.

An early conclusion of this year's participation in this fair was the higher quality of inquiries received. The sector seems to be increasingly aware of the need to undertake a technical leap to face the challenges of the future. At the same, a second and less positive conclusion was the relatively low attendance of ceramic materials manufacturers, taking into account the approximately 100,000 active production units in the country.

The same exhibition facilities were chosen for the IFC Workshop, organized by the trade magazine CERAMICS INTERNATIONAL FORUM, and which included the participation of BERALMAR, with a presentation by Miquel Moix entitled "Modern Ceramics Manufacturing in India: a profitable investment". Apart from what the title suggests, the presentation emphasized the opportunity for ceramic building materials to gain market share in alternative products such as concrete blocks, which are currently experiencing growth in most modern buildings in the country, a fact that deserves further debate.

BERALMAR will definitely be present in the 2016 edition.

  • CONCLUSIONS FROM THE CERAMATECH 2015 FAIR

From 27 to 30 January last, BERALMAR took part in the CERAMATECH fair in Moscow, one of four fairs BERALMAR has scheduled this year in Russia.

It was no surprise that this edition of CERAMATECH was marked by the devaluation of the rouble in recent months, which has led to its losing half its value, with many projects being consigned to stand-by. Despite this fact, BERALMAR's participation was a success in terms of the number of visitors to the stand and the type of enquiries received, and the main conclusion is that the market continues to study projects with the conviction that in due time the economic and political situation will allow work to continue.

We remind you that BERALMAR is currently working on providing a complete factory for manufacturing bevelled clinker in Novocheboksarsk (Chuvash Republic), which will be the second complete line in the country following the one commissioned in autumn 2014 near Krasnoyarsk (Siberia).

  • BERALMAR AT THE SIBBUILD 2015 FAIR

With just one weekend separating it from the CERAMATECH fair in Moscow, a new edition of the SIBBUILD fair is to be held in Novosibirsk (Siberia, Russia) from 3 to 6 February, also attended by a delegation from BERALMAR.

Visitors can find the BERALMAR stand at number 315, Pavilion B

We hope that this first participation of BERALMAR in the main fair in Siberia is a success; let's hope so!

  • News and Accomplishments
  • COMMISSIONING OF A NEW FACTORY IN ALGERIA

The new BRIQUETERIE AMRAOUA ceramics plant at Tizi Ouzou (Algeria) began to produce material in January, with a start-up that may be described as very successful.

BERALMAR supplied the entire production line for this new facility, from molding onwards:

- Cutting line and loading of drying racks.

- MESTRAL semi-continuous dryer.

- Automation of hacking of racks.

- Kiln car stacker.

- PRESTHERMIC airtight tunnel kiln, equipped with natural gas combustion equipment.

- Kiln car dehacking.

- Automation of bundling and packaging by strapping.

In a few days production is expected to reach its nominal level of 180,000 t/year (500 t/day) of block and slab.

We would like to record here our thanks to the owner BRIQUETERIE AMRAOUA for the trust placed in BERALMAR, and we wish them a long future.
