We would like to inform our customers, suppliers and friends that our head offices in Terrassa will be closed for holidays from December 24th to January 6th, both included.

The CERÁMICA RIOBOO brickworks of Pravio (A Coruña) is the last -but not least- brickyard opting for solid fuels in Spain.

This Galician producer of hollow bricks will count in the next weeks with a solid fuel firing system model MICROMATIC that will use petroleum coke as the main fuel in the kiln, for an output of approximately 250 tm/day. The fuel used in the preheating zone will be natural gas.

BERALMAR has already supplied more than 200 solid fuel (petcoke, coals, etc.) firing systems over the last quarter of century, the half of which have been installed in the last 8 years alone.

Such boom in the use of solid fuels is not just explained by the price increases of gas and heavy oil, but also by the existance of adequate technologies for their consumption, which are constantly updated.

BERALMAR has recently started up the first solid fuel firing system PROMATIC in Serbia, at the NAŠA SLOGA brickworks in the town of Kovin.


The solid fuel used is petroleum coke, whereas the high speed gas burners continue to work at the preheating zone.

Gas and heavy oil prices have suffered dramatic increases in the last times in Serbia, while the solid fuels stand as the only immediate alternative to decrease the energy bill overnight, as long as they are used with the right technologies to keep up with quality standards.

BERALMAR already cooperated successfully with NAŠA SLOGA in the past, in a project to double the output of the brickworks. We must therefore be sincerely grateful for such a repeated trust in BERALMAR.
