END OF THE RECESSION?

The worst economic crises in recent decades is finally showing signs of fatigue, or to put it differently, economic recovery seems to be starting up.

At least that's what we draw from some of the macroeconomic figures that have been published recently. The GDP of some economies, such as France and Germany, has grown in recent weeks and now the world's largest economy is recording positive results, specifically in our sector.

During last August, the construction of 598,000 new homes was begun in the US, up 1.5% from the same month in 2008, consisting of 479,000 single-family dwellings (down by 3%) and 119,000 multi-family dwellings (up by 25%).

Corporate
NEW AUTOMATION DEPARTMENT

“Productivity is being able to do things that you were never able to do before.” – Jim Manzi.

BERALMAR has a history which stretches back almost half a century, during which certain dates have marked a qualitative leap for the company. The year 2009 is undoubtedly one of these dates since the company has decided to take a very important qualitative step: launch a new Automation Department.

The new Automation Department, whose Director is Cayetano Jiménez, is made up of a group of professionals with a great deal of experience in the world of ceramics. Their career began at the now disappeared AGEMAC, and continued in various corporations, where they have accumulated the know-how, experience and professional recognition from the market which enables BERALMAR to face this new challenge with technical gaurantees from day one.

In this way, BERALMAR's already extensive offering incorporates a broad range of automatons such as:

  • Every type of cutter
  • Automation devices for dryers
  • Truck stacking and destacking equipment
  • Transport of carts and trucks
  • Palletising and packing equipment
  • Intelligent warehouses for pallets and shelves
  • Robotics

This new department is now completely installed and operational at the BERALMAR headquarters in Terrassa and is already developing equipment for projects recently taken on by BERALMAR.

Thus BERALMAR has become a comprehensive supplier of all types of design and manufacturing equipment for the structural ceramics industry, with the sole exception of the clay preparation and moulding process.
