REPORT FROM THE CERAMBRICKTECH FAIR IN MOSCOW (RUSSIA)

BERALMAR participated in the CERAMBRICKTECH fair in Moscow (Russia) in late January.

This is the fourth consecutive year that BERALMAR exhibits at this fair, which in recent years has become the leading event for ceramics technology in the Russian market.

At the fair it was evident the lethargic state of the Russian market for European suppliers continued due to the current exchange rate for the ruble against the Euro.

Nevertheless, during the fair BERALMAR was able to close a few deals for the supply of firing equipment.

Aside from these deals, for BERALMAR the most valuable part of being present at CERAMBRICKTECH, despite the current context, is to maintain its profile and relationship with Russian brick manufacturers, with the hope that a change in circumstances will soon enable new ambitious projects in Russia.

BERALMAR supplied two very unique full production plants in 2014 and 2015 in Russia.

We look forward to seeing you again in Moscow at the next edition.

BERALMAR AT THE ECTS SYMPOSIUM IN AGARTALA (INDIA)

On 25 February BERALMAR took part in the ceramics symposium organized by ECTS in the city of Agartala, capital of Tripura (India). Tripura is one of the seven Indian states located between Bangladesh and Burma, popularly known as “the 7 sisters”.

For several years now ECTS has maintained the tradition of organizing a ceramics symposium in an Indian city just before the INDIAN CERAMICS fair, taking advantage of the presence of several group members in the country to attend the fair.

The symposium comprised several technical presentations by some of the ECTS members. To this end, BERALMAR presented a series of solutions designed for the Indian market.

BERALMAR created a company in India in 2017, with its headquarters in Bangalore, with the aim of supplying European technology at an Indian cost, saving at once import expenses (transport and customs) and making it possible to pay in the local currency. BERALMAR also has extensive knowledge of the ceramics industry in India and its specific needs. To date, BERALMAR has supplied a project for improved production for DIAMOND BRICKS in India and different solutions in the field of firing for the WIENEBERGER factory near Bangalore.

Attendance at the symposium was high, with more than 70 industry attendees registered. Due to the geographical proximity of Bangladesh (Agartala is a border city), the symposium organizers were also able to attract some industry experts from Bangladesh, among them the engineers of MIRPUR CERAMICS, for whom BERALMAR is currently supplying a full plant project.

NEW PROJECT IN BANGLADESH

BERALMAR is working on a strategic new project: the supply of a new production line for MIRPUR CERAMICS, the leading ceramic brick manufacturer in Bangladesh.

The new factory, called SUNSHINE BRICKS, will count with the following:

  • Complete handling equipment line: cutting, dryer loading and unloading, kiln stacking and destacking, and packaging.
  • Semi-continuous dryer.
  • Tunnel kiln.
The factory will run on natural gas mainly, which is well-priced in Bangladesh, for a 400 t/day hollow block production.

The SUNSHINE BRICKS project is of high strategic value for BERALMAR for two reasons: on one hand, because it is the first large project in the Indian subcontinent, a region where BERALMAR is making great efforts to contribute to the development of the heavy clay industry; and on the other hand, for having been selected by a manufacturer of the prestige of MIRPUR CERAMICS, who we take this opportunity to thank for their trust.

Beralmar, 50 years with you!
