100 NEWSLETTERS!

With this issue we have a very special reason to be proud of our publication: BERALMAR’s newsletter has published 100 issues since September 2006. It was almost 10 years ago that we set out on the adventure of sharing our organization’s news in this monthly publication, which, being easily read in five minutes, allows us to keep our clients, suppliers, collaborators, family and friends up to speed on our activities, our new technologies, our increasingly active participation in fairs, the main projects we’re involved in worldwide and, in short, our most relevant news.

BERALMAR’s newsletter was first published in three languages (Catalan, Spanish and English), but has added new languages over time, to a total of 13 today: the three mentioned plus French, Portuguese, German, Russian, Serbian, Polish, Hungarian, Bulgarian, Romanian and finally Turkish - added to the list in this very issue.

As for its circulation, the first newsletter was distributed to nearly 300 recipients; this 100th issue goes out to 2400 recipients.

In these 10 years of operation, the newsletter has reported on BERALMAR’s commissioning of 19 complete plants and 72 solid-fuel firing installations, the two most common types of equipment in recent times.

But aside from all this information and the work carried out, what stands out about these 100 issues are the congratulations we periodically and personally receive from many of our readers, and which motivate us to continue devoting effort to this publication.

TWENTY-SEVENTH PART OF THE TREATISE ON DRYING AND FIRING

In this twenty-seventh part, you will find chapter 2.16 of the treatise on firing:

Chapter 2.16: Purification of kiln flue gases

We hope it will be of interest to our readers.

THE BERALMAR NEWSLETTER, NOW ALSO IN TURKISH

BERALMAR’S 100th newsletter is a great opportunity to announce its availability in Turkish as well, starting with this very issue.

Turkish is spoken by more than 80 million people. It is the official language of Turkey and Cyprus, as well as a recognized minority language in Romania, Bosnia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Greece and Iraq. Turkish, Azeri, Turkmen and other Turkic languages of Central Asia are highly mutually intelligible.

In a remarkable effort to bring BERALMAR’S news to all of its clients and friends worldwide in the most comfortable and friendly way, BERALMAR’S NEWSLETTER is now available in 13 languages, including Turkish.

NEW BIOMASS COMBUSTION CHAMBERS IN SPAIN

BERALMAR has supplied a new solid-fuel combustion chamber, one of the most demanded pieces of equipment in recent times.

A 6,000,000 kcal/hora (7000 kWh) CSD/6000 direct flame combustion chamber was installed at CERÁMICA ESPÍRITU SANTO in Villaluenga de la Sagra (Toledo, Spain), which will provide heat for two brick dryers.

This combustion chamber will be fuelled by several types of biomass, mainly almond shells and olive pomace.

In addition to the savings generated by using these fuels, the ceramics plant will benefit from the subsequent decrease in CO2 emission levels, which will allow for the sale of surplus emission rights.
